Burgers, pizza, cinnamon buns or brunch: every town has a debate about who does it best. Settle it with your friends, one visit at a time.
How to do it
Pick the dish and the places.
Make a list of candidates. Do them all in one day, or one visit at a time over months.
Agree on what matters.
For burgers that might be bun, patty, toppings and price. Keep it to what you actually argue about.
Rate each place on your own.
Each visit is a round. Everyone scores on the spot, and a photo moment captures what you ate.
Keep a running ranking.
After each visit the ranking updates. When you’re done, you have an answer the whole group stands behind. Or at least voted on.
Criteria to try
Pick up to eight. They all count equally.
Good to know
- Order the same thing everywhere so the scores can be compared.
- Share one portion between two if you visit several places in a day.
- Let an ongoing activity run for a whole season.
Questions and answers
Can we spread it over several months?
Yes. Choose ongoing or a period when you create the activity, and add a round for each visit.
What if someone misses a visit?
Pick the reveal with that in mind. With “After each round”, a round waits until everyone in it has rated. With “Straight away” or “When you’re done”, the ranking simply uses the ratings you have.
Can we use it for other dishes?
Of course. Pizza, ramen, ice cream, brunch or the best bakery in town work the same way.
